MMOBugs Live Chat!
For voice chat, we use TeamSpeak 3. You can download a TeamSpeak 3 client program from the TeamSpeak home page.
The TeamSpeak server to connect to is chat.mmobugs.com, port 9987.
You can visit the MMOBugs TeamSpeak Status Page to see who's on (and other info).
For text chat, we use IRC. What is IRC? IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is a chat system that enables people connected anywhere on the Internet to join in live discussions. To join an IRC discussion, you need an IRC client and Internet access, or for a quick start, use one of our built-in web based clients (see below - choose from CGI, Java, or Mibbit!).
If you wish to use a standalone client to connect to MMOBugs IRC please download an IRC client such as mIRC or Trillian.
MMOBugs IRC Information:
IRC Server: irc.mmobugs.com
Port: 6667 (you can also use 6668, 6669, or 6670)
Channel: #MMOBugs
If you have an irc client already installed, and it is set to handle irc:// links, you can just click the following link irc://irc.mmobugs.com:6667
Connecting To IRC with MacroQuest2
You may also connect to our IRC server via MacroQuest2 with the following commands while playing EverQuest.
/plugin mq2irc
/iconnect irc.mmobugs.com 6667 #MMOBugs NickName - Change nickname to what you want your chat handle to be.
To talk in IRC use the command /i say message

You can also use our IRC Java Client to connect.

Another option is to use our CGI-IRC web based client.
Connecting to IRC with Mibbit
Scroll down to the bottom of this page, if you wish to use Mibbit to connect.
Basic IRC Commands:
(Please Note: If you are using MQ2IRC you must add /i before everything for example /i join #MMOBugs)
/join #MMOBugs - Joins channel #MMOBugs.
/nick BillyBob - Changes chat handle to BillyBob.
/me faints - Does a faint emote
/whois username - Displays information about user.
Please register your chat name with the following command.
/msg nickserv register password email@addy
